As Jess entered the mall, she was blown away by the sheer size of it. Unfamiliar as she was with the hustle and bustle of a shopping center she froze where she was taking in all the sights and smells. From a café across from her came the rich aroma of grounded coffee beans, from a Millie's Cookies came the warm smell of white chocolate and rasberry cookies in an oven. The noise added to the commotion, screaming children, their frantic mothers trying to calm them, buisness men on the phone, floating through the mass of people like they are far more important. The mall had been decorated for christmas, giant christmas trees stood in the midst of all the chaos, lights danced their way across their green branches. Banisters where frosted with a snow-like substance, in the distance she could see a giant ginger bread house with snowmen and elves, with a long line of children qued up outside. Jess stood, her mouth agape, unable to think or move. No wonder her "better than the rest" mother never took her to a mall. Her mother would have thought it "below" her. But the truth was, Jess loved it, the disorder, the fun the laughter, all of it. She thingyed her head as she realised what she had been missing before.

Vienna smiled and almost jumped up into the air when she saw the elves and santa a few feet away. "Before we leave, we HAVE to get a photo!" she said excitedly as she linked arms with Jessy. "Now lets get shopping!" she said happily.

"Where are we off to first V?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. She could barely remember all the things she had too buy, let alone the shops.
(sorry bout the short post, homework =P)

Vienna laughed gently as she smacked herself in the forehead. "What are we shopping for again?" she asked with a grin as she giggled at her own stupidity. ||Hahahaha...sorry I'm hypo ||

Jess took a quick look at her shopping list, "well we need an awfull lot of books, so why don't we try the bookstore first?" As she suggested this she'd been slowly weaving her way through the people until the reached the large doors of a Waterstones store. Knowing Vienna would follow she waled in heading for the non fiction area.

"Books can be sooooo boring," Vienna said with a sigh as she followed Jessy into the shop. Her eyes scanned the many non fiction titles until she found the equestrian section. "Hmm...alrighty...what do we need..." she mumbled to herself as she ran her finger over the spines of the books as she read the titles.

"I agree," said James as he glanced around the store and sighed. He was definately not one to read, and he definately didn't enjoy doing the theory part of school.
||Sorry I'm extremely blank at the moment.||

Jess laughed, "you know, books can become really interesting when they mean a quiet hour away from your family." Her smile faded as she remembered doing just that. Her fingers ran over the spines of the books until she found the ones she needed. She deftly pulled them off the shelves into her arms, ticking them off her list as she went. "Basic Jumping, Visions of Showjumping, Training the Cross Country Horse, Cross Country Masterclass, Dressage and Approach to Competition, 101 Dressage Exercises." She almost stumbled under the weight of all the books, but managed to shuffle her way over to the cashier. The woman behind the desk gave a knowing smile, and promptly scanned all the books, placing them in a bag as she went. "That comes to £60 please." Jess raised her eyebrows but wasn't surprised, books weren't cheap and certainly not hardbacks. She paid and took her purchases over to Vienna and James while they searched the shelves.

After a few minutes Vienna had her hands full of books and a childish grin on her face, she was in the weirdest mood. "Hurry up James!" she demanded as she bumped into him, unable to see exactly where she was going as she headed to the cashier. The woman smiled as she scanned the books. "That comes to £75." she said as she put the books in a bag. Dishing out her money, Vienna paid the cashier and walked outside the shop, she had enough of books for the day.

Jess followed Vienna out of the shop, prefering to be with her than to stay with James. She fumbled with her shopping list and quickly scanned it; "only stationary, dressage gloves and some cross country colours left to buy." She stated simply.

"Okie doke." Vienna replied with a grin as they walked through the shops. "I've got to get a new pair of jodphurs to." she added as they neared a HorseLand store. "Let's have a look in here." Vienna said as she walked into the shop.

Jess followed and grinned, so much to buy, so little money. She could honestly have spent her life in the store, as she walked through she kept her eyes open for potential christmas presents. It wasn't really that far away and she doubted she would have another opportunity. Thinking of christmas presents reminded her of the christmas ball; "Hey V, have you got your dress yet for the christmas ball?" She asked while she browsed the shelves for something blue...

"Oh.My.God." Vienna gasped as she screwed up her face in disappointment. "Noooo!" she replied with a frown as complete shock set in. She needed a dress, and she took forever to find the perfect dress because she was so picky, so that meant she had a very short period of time to find her outfit. Taking a deep breathe, she looked back at Jessy, embarrassment showing on her face, just about the whole store had heard her scream. "What about you?" she asked more quietly as she started browsing for jodphurs again.

Cara was lying on her bed with a wet cloth on her forehead when her phone chimed. She sat up with a cheeky grin. The phone was supposed to be so that her social worker could get hold of her, and him only, she knew he'd have kittens if he found out that she had given the number out. Picking up the phone, she flipped it open and read the text.
Blowing out a breath, she swung her legs over the side of the bed and headed off to the mall. She didn't feel like going out, but Tiffany was a really nice girl and she'd be happy to help. She wanted to pick up some frames for the gifts she was making anyway.
Walking into the store the other girl had mentioned, she looked at the selections that Tiffany had chosen with concentrated scrutiny. "The pink one." She said.
